What is the highest safe VCORE level for using it in games and productivity tasks?
Hello, I'm currently running an i5 7600k at 4.7 with a 1.38 vcore. I'm curious about the ideal vcore range for gaming and productivity. My usage is about 8 hours daily, including gaming, streaming, and general tasks. It's running at 4.7 hz and 1.37 volts, which is just overclocked by .9. On the other hand, my Corsair H60 stays around 74 under full load. I'm aiming for 5 hz but don't want to risk damaging my CPU. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
It's difficult to determine the safe maximum voltage for any CPU. Beyond certain core values, the situation becomes uncertain, and even a small increase can damage the processor. If you're currently running at 4.7 GHz with temperatures near 75°C under load and a vCore of 1.38, it would be wise not to push further, as you're already near the upper limits of the core range. Some processors can reach 1.4v or more, but it's unclear how long that would last.
