Checking if it's safe to upgrade to the latest Windows version with a fresh installation, or to keep using the current one.

is it advisable to remain on 23H2 (no problems)?
I'm still using 23H2 and haven't upgraded the OS since updates were mentioned. The advice is to stick with what works unless there are clear issues. I've been learning about some anomalies, but they're not widespread.
It's implied that always back up your mission-critical data just in case things change, so you can revert to a previous version if needed (using system restore).

Both of my Win 11 machines, Home and Pro, are running on 24H2 with no problems.

Some recognized problems with 24h2 might assist in choosing the appropriate version to install.

I'm having trouble with the PC crashing problem, especially since I wanted to buy new games and do a reformat and fresh install... but I'm stuck dealing with this gaming PC crashing critical kernel 41 issue. Ah man!
Really want to figure out the cause before taking any other steps.

The "kernel 41" problem isn't the main concern. It seems the system is reporting an unexpected shutdown without clear reasons. Human...please help me. Are you talking about this discussion: [SOLVED] - Could my PSU be triggering the Kernel Power event ID 41 crash? PSU: Antec HCG Extreme 1000 watts – could this PSU be responsible for my PC's crashes? I have another 1000-watt PSU in a different PC that I could use to test. Anyone who can confirm might help identify the issue? forums.
