I purchased a 2x16GB Crucial Ballistix Kit 3600 MHz CL16 to pair with my 5800X on MSI X570 MAG, expecting them to be DR. After reviewing the code outside the box, they were identified as SR, so they should return. At the same time, I discovered a good deal for two Corsair CMW16GX4M2C3200C16 kits, resulting in 4x8GB 3200 MHz CL16 units. They must be SR, meaning I can use four DIMMs. The main question is whether these will actually support 3600 MHz. I plan to increase the voltage to 1.45V. Perhaps someone has experience with this RAM setup.

Combining two kits isn't assured to succeed, let alone boost performance. Using four dimms might restrict the highest steady frequency.

I was instructed to choose between 2 DR modules or 4 SR modules, but not 2 SR modules.

For four dimmers, obtain a single kit available on the motherboard QVL list.

I don't know about any 4 DIMM kits, but the QVL List indicates I'm compatible with XMP and 4 DIMMs.

The QVL will display particular kit numbers with four dimmers.
