What is the biggest power limit I should watch out for when using a Ryzen 3700X?
Hey, I'm running on 4.35Ghz across all my cores at 1.325 volts. I'll give it a shot at 1.3V too. Is 1.325 volts okay for an all-core overclock? Thanks!
There isn't much room left, and since your boost speed is already at 4375GHz and it stays smooth, just keep it like that. You get to try making things run faster on your own if you want, but for keeping the system alive a long time, I'd rather leave the settings alone. I personally prefer to turn off the automatic boosts and manually set every core to 4.2GHz. I also switch off any "C" states or power-saving tricks that save energy. If you use too much voltage, it gets way too hot so the best thing is to keep the base voltage as low as possible while still staying stable.
Ryzen works best when you set the voltage around 1.35 to 1.37 volts. You can go up to 1.45 volts if you have a big water cooler, but doing so might make your CPU last shorter and is not a good idea. If your current settings are working fine for you, then that's perfect.
Does it make sense to push my CPU harder than its default speed? It's already running at 4375 Mhz even when you turn nothing down, but do you know if this is just one processor working alone?
