What is the best way to upgrade this rig?
Hey everyone! I already did some research, but I decided to just ask some qualified people on this forum. So: Here's what's in my current rig: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X MB: ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II Ram: TridentZ RGB 32gb @3600Mhz (running at only 3266MHz tho, cause my BIOS wouldn't let me boot when i made it higher, idk) GPU: RTX 3060 Ti My problem: Recently I've recognized massive performance issues and drops (especially while livestreaming, my framerate in games dropped way below my monitor refresh rate (165Hz), sometimes even under 100FPS), which i've never encountered before. I'm under the assumption, that my components don't fit together, and so I am currently looking to replace my CPU and Motherboard. I want to switch from AMD to Intel, and it'd be very good if the new Motherboard had Wifi. The CPU i wanted to go with is the "i5-12600K" and the MB is the "MSI Mag Z690 Tomahawk Wifi". Will this fit with the rest of the components? Do you guys have any recommendations for CPU/MB that would be even better and maybe also cheaper (shouldn't be more expensive tho). Also, do you think a graphics card upgrade might be needed aswell? I just really want to stop the framerate decrease while streaming, and I think for that an upgrade is necessary. If you guys need any additional information about my current rig so you can pick the best parts, just let me know and I hope we can find the best solution for me. You might not want to reuse your old rig for live streaming because it could lack the necessary equipment or stability.

I agree with that but if you just bought the parts recently, it might not be the best time. I think there are better options for CPU/motherboard such as a 12600K and Z690 board or even B-series models if budget is a concern. I’d say your setup is fine if you’re running at 1080p on your monitor.
