I recently moved from iTunes to a new media and music player. I’m unsure what options are best for my music collection. Thanks!

iTunes and WMP offer the most organized library setup. For the lightest in terms of resources, WinAmp and Foobar stand out. When it comes to visual appeal, Xion impresses with its PSD-based skins, which is quite innovative. I personally prefer WMP—it functions reliably.

I genuinely prefer Windows Media Player, yet for MP4 clips and DVDs I rely on VLC with extra emphasis because it eases system performance when streaming 720p content, aside from Vengeance.

I've tested many media players and audio tools, but these two stood out the most.

There are several issues that can affect Windows Media Player or Xbox Music, such as compatibility problems, corrupted files, or driver conflicts.

I use MPC-HC+madVR and Spotify. I prefer not to save much music on my hard drive. I suggest foobar2000 instead of Spotify if you have enough space. WMP is fine but uses more system memory than other options. I haven't used Xbox Music.
