I just purchased a Minecraft server for my friends, but it needs an FTP connection to apply changes. I'm looking for the best and safest FTP option. Anyone have recommendations? (Also, I learned Filezilla's installer can be risky with viruses.)

I rely on Filezilla, it works well. The rumors about the installer containing viruses aren't true—I've checked both client and server versions, and they're simple without any extra programs or services.

Filezilla is completely secure. On Sourceforge you can download it directly from their own installer, which includes some extra features—just skip the optional ones if you don’t want them. You might also try ninite.com for a cleaner experience.
