What is the Best CPU for 3D modeling and Game Design?
I’m gearing up for my first PC build and want some guidance before diving in. My setup will focus heavily on 3D work—modeling, rendering, sculpting, and animation. Tools like Blender, Maya, ZBrush, Unity, and Photoshop will be in use. I’m not planning any streaming, 4K editing, or gaming beyond personal testing, so speed matters a bit. My main concern is finding the optimal CPU that balances performance and budget. I’m leaning toward a threadripper 2920X, but an Intel i7 9700K seems better suited for the detailed tasks I have planned. Both offer cores, but the i7’s clock speed and core count might edge out for modeling and sculpting. I’m still weighing the pros and cons, hoping this research helps me make a smarter choice. Thanks for all the support!
outdated inventory offers 3900X benefits with dual CPUs on budget boards. Limited RAM performance, unsuitable for demanding tasks even with affordable 3000MHz GPUs. Value drops sharply above the 2070S era in New Zealand. NXT H500 struggles with airflow efficiency.
some folks are really struggling with this, it's way worse than 3900x across all the things you need. probably only a few exceptions—like needing a lot of PCI slots, which seems unlikely. just stick with AM4 and have fun. i’ll try to avoid posting the same video multiple times in a day, so here’s another version just to emphasize the point.
