Your arrow placement matches exactly where I need the cable end to fit. It is a Cat 5 e cable with RJ45 fitting—correct? Another Ethernet cable connects from the WiFi router into the back of my current rig, and it fits perfectly in either location, except for the new machine. I assumed the connector wasn't placed properly, but that’s not the issue. Forcing it could damage it. Amazon offers USB connectors that appear to fit an Ethernet cable, but I wanted confirmation, so I reached out here. If you still have a picture of the existing cable, I can send one; it’s functioning well on the computer I’m replacing. Thanks for your assistance.
I found another cable and managed to get it functioning. It required a lot of effort to insert it and then remove it, but it finally worked. Thank you for your assistance.
