I want to change my Windows password on an Acer laptop running Win 10. I cannot figure out the right password to unlock it, so it keeps asking me again even though I've tried using my normal startup password. When I press F2 to try to get into the BIOS, it says that is not the right password, which means only one specific password works for starting up my system. I need another way in just in case because I might use the BIOS for other reasons than getting Windows running. Any help would be great on how to get into the BIOS without this issue?

It looks like someone has an admin password, while you just have a regular user password.

If that's what you mean, what should I say to pass it off?

Try asking the person who owns the laptop, or whoever made the password secret.
