What is leading to these crashes on your PC?
Hi guys
Lately I’ve been facing some issues with my PC (R5 3600, 3.5ghz, GTX1650, 16GB RAM, M.2 500GB from Kingston, SATA 3 SSD from Kingston).
The problems include random restarts without any error, BSOD with various codes, game crashes, freezes, and launchers like Steam or Epic refusing to download games because of "corrupted files". Sometimes there are directX errors too.
I had a similar issue before about two months ago, probably with the M.2 drive. When I opened the PC, I noticed the M.2 was dusty, cleaned it up and everything worked fine.
I ran standard diagnostics like memcheck, but no errors appeared. The sfc tool showed some corrupt files, and the dism utility reported nothing wrong. Cleaning the PC didn’t fix the problem.
I changed the SSDs, swapped the M.2 from another machine, and everything functioned properly. After that, I tried replacing the other SSD, and it worked well.
Now I’ve been using sfc to check if the files are still corrupt, but even then the PC runs extremely slowly after exiting safe mode—something I used to handle before.
I’m trying my best to figure out what I should do next.
Seasonic 500W 80+ bronze purchased in 2020, cleaned annually once. GPU and CPU temperatures remain typical—60-70 on the GPU during games and 70-80 on the CPU.
