What is EZ OC in BIOS/UEFI?

Hey everyone.
I own a Gigabyte z270 Gaming K3 and went into the BIOS/UEFI to turn off ErP. I switched to the "Easy Mode" tab just out of curiosity. I have an "EZ OC" tool, which I think stands for "Easy Overclock." It’s currently set to "Normal," but I can change it to Performance or Saving if needed.
My question is: should I use Performance or Normal?
Note: I disabled ErP because my headset and mouse were still on even though the computer was off. I didn’t like that, so I turned it off.
I just want to make sure there won’t be any consequences for doing this. Thanks in advance for your advice!

If you prefer not to use EZ OC, you can simply set it to Normal and enable Turbo Boost or let it auto. That's correct, Hazlazm.

ErP Support decides if the system should use less than 1W of power in the S5 shutdown state. When this option is activated, four features will stop working: PME Event Wake Up, Power On By Mouse, Power On By Keyboard, and Wake On LAN. EZ OC works well, but it's recommended to use multiplier and Core Voltage control for best results.

EZ OC's main purpose is to boost your CPU's clock speed, but it also affects RAM performance. It doesn't just increase the CPU's GHZ without other changes.

What exactly does EZ OC do? Does it just raise your CPU's clock speed without affecting RAM, or does it also manage memory settings? Just a question.
I don’t know your precise storage size, but usually when you enable EZ mode in the BIOS, it handles frequency adjustments. The maximum CPU speed will match the chip’s base supported rate and will lower it to conserve power when not needed. It increases speed when necessary. It also identifies the RAM you have and applies those settings. If you use OC RAM, it will stick to the frequency your storage supports.
You have limited control here, so if you aim for optimal performance from both CPU and memory, EZ isn’t the best choice.
