Hey, I saw it's been asked alot and theres a bunch of semi useful information.
I recently updates my system and currently the only thing not updated is the gpu which is a
rtx 3070 windforce oc.
I only game, watch multimedia, no content creation or workload. But I'm a sort of maxi - I prefer as high as possible graphics quality and refresh rate.
Can anyone tell me whats a good pairing to a new
13700k
?
I play
1440p 165hz
.
Budget isn't set in stone, but would be great around 1200 eur.
I guess the main question is, if I should wait for the new 5000 series or update to a current system gpu?
Specs:
13700k
, I want to overclock after instability microcode.
Currently
H100i
aio, but already ordered the new
Li An Li 360mm trinity performance
.
32GB 6000mhz ddr5
ram
1x2tb m.2 Samsung pro ssd
2x500gb sata ssd.
Rtx 3070 windforce
Meshify 2
Corsair HX1500i
Thanks for any and all suggestions.

The CPU hasn't caused any pairing issues with graphics cards for several years, giving you a wide range of choices.
It might be wise to wait for the 5xxx series. Still, the 4080 Super is quite outdated or the 4090 depends on the game; you can judge the outcome. But I suspect you've already considered it and are deciding whether to hold out or proceed.

In the meantime, if you don't already own one, consider getting it—you'll need it. It's better to opt for a high-quality Corsair cable instead of the standard ones that come with the card. Most top-tier 4xxx series from 4070 models feature a 12vhpwr plug, which is rare today except for twin 8-pin variants; a few brands might offer this. For the 5 series, I've read that 12vhpwr is often forced throughout the entire lineup and may need extra power, but we'll find out more.

Don't forget to verify any pending BIOS updates related to this situation amid the ongoing issues with 13th and 14th generation Intel processors.

The RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB would stand out significantly at 1440P resolution.

I've consistently focused on the 70-s in the series. The first one was 1070, then 3070. I'm also curious about the likelihood of the RTX 5000 series arriving soon and its availability, particularly in Europe or Norway.

The 4070ti super seems promising, possibly boosting my FPS by nearly double in certain games. It also fits within my budget, being cheaper than expected.

I mainly use Gigabyte windforce cards, but I'm looking for the best balance of performance and cooling efficiency.

Hey, after receiving the Hx1500i with an RMA a few days back, I looked inside the cables box and found the 12pin included. The 12-pin connector side seems quite small compared to the current 6+8 pin I use—it's about the size of an 8-pin, right? Is that the right cable for me?

True. The Hxi series has received ATX 3.1 certification and contains the 12vhpwr cable.

It's challenging to surpass Asus in cooling performance, though Gigabyte and MSI are definitely strong contenders. According to my understanding, the 50XX cards are expected to be available later in the year.
