Hi guys, my stock clock is 2133MHz and I'm considering getting two 8GB 2666MHz Corsair Vengeance. I'm worried it will cap at 2133MHz because my CPU is an i5 6400 3.2GHz. I was just thinking about a safe overclock speed. Thanks!

If you possess just a single stick of RAM, purchasing two will be more advantageous because they support Dual Channel, thereby doubling your bandwidth and significantly enhancing CPU performance. However, your motherboard is limited to 2133MHz due to XMP restrictions. You might look for a z270 variant compatible with your setup or opt for the most affordable 2x8GB RAM package that meets the 2133MHz requirement.
