They reinitialized the BIOS to default settings, and adjusted the clock speeds accordingly.

The CMOS button clears the BIOS back to its original configuration or loads a saved profile. BIOS Flashback is exclusive to Asus boards, enabling you to update the BIOS onto a motherboard without needing a CPU or RAM. This can be useful when compatibility problems arise. Additionally, it supports flashing even if the BIOS is damaged.
