I recently purchased a computer equipped with an MSI X570 Unify board and a 3700x socket. I was curious about the best CPU options for the future without needing to replace the motherboard. Since I’m new to Ryzen, I’m unsure what’s available. I’ve learned that newer CPUs can work on AM4 boards if the BIOS is updated, which I have done. Thanks!
I plan to wait for Zen 3d before upgrading; a 3700x remains quite powerful! However, if you require an upgrade now, a budget would be essential for us to proceed. Could you share your specifications? It might not be worth upgrading the CPU if the rest of the system is limiting performance.
