You might already know that my ASUS G15 ROG GA503RM laptop experiences battery problems when charging or operating without a cable. The Battery Health Charging feature in the ASUS app is currently set to 80% balance, which has remained stable over months. I’ve noticed that the HWinfo readings can be confusing, showing a drop from 7% to 3% and then jumping back up to 12.3% recently after weeks of use. The changes are gradual but consistent.

A battery report generated within Windows 10 didn’t provide any helpful information. Even resetting the battery didn’t resolve the issue—just by holding down the power button for 60 seconds. I’m growing frustrated with trying to fix this laptop, especially since it seems to be deteriorating further. Installing games on the internal SSD or playing at high frame rates (above 20fps) causes temperatures to spike to 75–80°C instantly.

Could you please clarify what would happen if the battery wear reaches its maximum percentage? Thank you for your time.

Possible issues:
The battery may lose charge quickly.
It might not charge at all.
There is a risk of damage, swelling, or leakage.
Occasionally, while using the battery, the laptop will suddenly stop working and crash.
Data could be lost or become corrupted. Games and settings may get damaged and gone.
Begin by backing up your data at least twice to separate locations away from the laptop.
Check that the backups are both recoverable and readable.
