Building a game for the Rift requires significant customization and tweaking to fit the environment. Simply adding a display won’t make it function properly; the game must be designed with the Rift in mind.

It's frustrating I thought it was just a screen on your head.

The Rift fits naturally in 3D experiences but isn't ideal for 2D titles. It performs best in games built for it, though adaptations are possible using tools like Vorpex. Source engine titles generally integrate smoothly with the Rift, and certain games such as TF2 already include Rift modes developed by the creators.

It seems like you're questioning why something took three years to release. Let me clarify if you'd like a different perspective!

It isn't a feature I've noticed before, as I haven't received one yet. Some racing sims do offer support or development in progress, such as Assetto Corsa and Project Cars games with cockpit elements, while AA FPS hasn't shown any updates.

Several compact titles are available for the DKs, though major high-budget releases won't appear soon. Check out TechnoLust—it's the standout among the options for the DK2.

Others say HTC Vive offers a much superior experience compared to the Rift. I’d probably choose the Vive right away. The CV1 isn’t available yet, and the tracking quality falls short of what you’d expect.
