TPM serves as a "Trusted Platform Module." Enabling it will secure data on your machine. Before switching the CPU, it's advisable to turn it off. With an encryption key, you can restore access; otherwise, reinstall the old CPU and disable it prior to upgrading.

FTPM or Firmware Trusted Platform Module is a security component managing cryptographic operations for system protection. For brand-new PCs this notice can be safely ignored. Activating FTPM doesn’t encrypt the drive; it only needs to be turned on for Windows 11. https://www.makeuseof.com/amd-ftpm-intel-ppt/ Enabling FTPM alone won’t provide encryption. Using TPM with BitLocker would, however, encrypt the drive.

This appears to be a modified version of a project your friend created. The drive doesn’t seem to have Bitlocker encryption, so you should press Y to proceed.
