I started overclocking a 5820k recently and am trying to monitor temperatures during benchmark runs. I installed RealTemp, which now shows load levels, but I’m unsure how it works since no other program is running and it still reports high loads. In the task manager, the CPU load seems stuck near low percentages. What’s going on?

I believe the narrative wasn't clear to me. You mentioned CPU usage was high during benchmark runs, but RealTemp doesn't indicate high usage at idle. It might be related to a virus or malware. The benchmark seems to keep running even when it shouldn't.

When benchmarks are running alongside RealTemp, the measured load reflects the CPU's workload from those tests.

If you're running benchmarks while RealTemp is running, the load reflects what the benchmarks are applying to the CPU.
I get it, but the issue I'm facing (or maybe not) is that these loads appear even when nothing else is running.
I've looked in Task Manager and AIDA64, they say the load is low.
I think this might be related to RealTemp? My idle temperatures are a bit higher than usual.
