I see moca as the top choice for getting internet upstairs. I’m not sure about the exact steps, but I found a set of two adapters for around 25€. Would you like some suggestions? I’m not focused on long-term solutions—just need a 1 gigabit connection.

Install a MoCA adapter at both ends, placing the coax cable in between. The systems are relatively simple.

You're likely focusing only on Moca 2.0 adapters. The method varies: if the coax line isn't used for cable or internet distribution, just connect a Moca adapter to each end and you're good. But if it's meant to carry internet or cable TV up the stairs, you'll need a Moca filter on the main line entering your home—this is something cable providers have historically used for whole-home DVR systems.
