Many people using Manjaro KDE feel isolated here. At first I was nervous about Arch, but once I tried Ayr, I couldn't resist. In certain scenarios, installing apps manually from GitHub feels simpler, which helps offset the learning curve. FreeBSD is a unique take on Unix—simple, consistent, and built by a focused team. It stands out for its stability, speed, and commitment to technical excellence without chasing fleeting trends. Unlike Linux, it maintains a unified vision across all layers, from the kernel to the desktop environment. While some may find it distant from modern Linux culture, its design prioritizes reliability and clarity. For those seeking a pure Unix experience, FreeBSD offers a compelling alternative.
