Consider a CPU with better performance per core and lower bottleneck. Look for LGA 1150 models that match your existing socket and offer improved efficiency.

You're seeing an unusually high percentage because the tool is likely using a simplified or exaggerated metric. It might not reflect real-world performance accurately.

I checked a calculator and it showed a 22% bottleneck. It seems I’m not very comfortable with PCs, and the site also mentioned a 22% issue.

Repeat the same point again. Avoid using those calculators—they don’t work well. For better results, check the CPU support on your motherboard and choose the best option.

The top choice is the i7-4790K for 200€, though I’m worried it might not deliver high FPS due to its power. Thanks for the help with the SSD—it’s now working!

Find out your main bottleneck quickly. See how much CPU each core handles in games using Task Manager, More Details, Performance tabs, and the CPU graph. Right-click to view details or change it to logical processors.

I believe your system should work well if you avoid low performance modes. Let me clarify what a CPU bottleneck means: your processor can only manage a specific number of frames per second in a game, regardless of resolution or visual options. For instance, an older CPU might only reach 60 FPS at 1080p with low settings on a weaker GPU, such as a GT 1030. In that case, the CPU would run at full capacity while the GPU remains underutilized. The CPU can also hit a maximum of 60 FPS when paired with the RTX 4090 at 4K and top settings. The GPU is powerful enough to potentially achieve 120 FPS under these conditions. A CPU bottleneck simply limits frame rate, not the settings themselves.

You'll need detailed information about your setup, such as monitor specs, resolution, and the games you play. Make sure your performance stays consistent—no dropping below FPS.
