what cpu should i go for
Hey there, folks. I'm not sure what to do if I see these specs and wonder if the differences matter. I was thinking about getting the i9 10900k because it has two more cores, but I won't get the Gen 4 NVMe speeds. I'm stuck on what to choose now.

The price gap between the i7 11700K and i9 11900K is relatively small, making the i9 a reasonable choice if it offers better performance. Skipping to another platform isn’t necessary unless you need something more specialized.
Resell the board and CPU. Swap in a 12600k (f) + Z690 chipset to beat both 11700k and 11900k models. 13600k is better but 12600k is much cheaper, especially if you get one used from a reliable seller—maybe it’s not the right XMP settings yet. If you skip XMP, you can use this burner to check the chipset and overclock RAM. All DDR4 will run at least 3200, and some high-end boards can hit 4000+ easily.
