What CPU and GPU should I upgrade for €500? (2019 build, 1080p ultra 144Hz)
I'd like to upgrade my GPU and CPU to be able to play the most demanding games at 1080p ultra 60+ fps. Less demanding titles should run at 144 fps on high/ ultra
I prefer parts that run fairly quiet and not too hot
What parts will get me the most performance for my budget without changing my MB? I'm open to buying used for better value.
With used prices, an R7 5800x plus a GTX 2080 ti would be in my price range.
I'm open to upgrading other parts if it would give me a significant performance boost.

Uncertain about the costs, but from what I just checked you can purchase a brand new R7 5700X at a price lower than what you'd pay for a used R7 5800X.
The RX 6750 XT works similarly to the RTX 2080 Ti, and again you can find it new for almost the same amount as the used 2080 Ti.
You'll need a decent CPU cooler. If you're on a tight budget, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE is a suitable option.
The idea of 5800X and RX2080 appears to be a suitable enhancement.
