Generally, you need at least a GTX 1070 to achieve 60 FPS at 1080p with a mix of low, medium, and off settings. The processor also struggles if you try to overclock it to around 5.0; essentially, you're dealing with one of the most demanding games on a PC that's ten years old.
Wanted a 3090 lol, but 3080 or 3070 based on pricing and availability. But they kept going up in price... So I looked into AMD since it's a bit easier to get. Anyway it's way better than what I have so I'll be able to play at good settings with 1440.
The system requires a 3080 or even a 3090 to run the game at 60 frames, which is clearly not optimized. You might consider upgrading to the 3770K for better performance, but it wouldn't justify the cost for just one. The game is still incomplete and has bugs. How much would that cost? I'll double it for my country and check how many kidneys I'd need to sell.
I own a 10900k and a 3090 with 64GB and 4000 RAM. I haven't loaded CP2077 yet. I bought it on release day and it's listed on GOG, but I've only run the patches. I didn't plan this purchase, but after buying it, work took me a few days and then I realized the internet was full of complaints. So I decided to wait.
...and I'm still waiting.
😆
I've tried RDR2, MSFS2020, Hitman 3, Medium, but haven't really felt the urge to try CP2077 yet. If I was still playing WoW Classic, it would make things worse.
I'm curious if 4K 60 fps ultra settings work... and if not, I'm sure I can get close. Right now, I'm keeping CP2077 hidden away.
Thanks for the card! It's better than what you had!
Yeah the graphics look decent at 1080P low resolution. I don’t think it would look that good in person with 4K high or ultra!
I haven’t played many new games lately since I was living through this old card back in 2016 🤣.
It actually doesn’t stutter at 17fps somehow.
I’ve only played a few new titles before, considering the time I’ve had with this system.
I’m glad I got CP 2077 after it dropped to $28. I’m too cheap to buy games when they first came out, and I prefer driving games more.
Hahahah... you got me there, I think I paid $65 for it. I use a 48" OLED, so 4K ultra looks amazing. I might turn it on soon just to check how it performs now after some patches. A few people say it runs great, but about 8 out of 10 have complained, which is why I haven't played it yet. Maybe it's just a hardware problem and it'll work well on mine. Easy to assume...
