I'm working on a PC now and need to identify the connector and its placement. It's an older build from 2013 to 2015.

Check if the opposite side is connected to another device. It seems like a standard power plug, possibly a proprietary type.

For io, it depends on the specific device. Which port are you referring to?

Seems to be a vintage audio cable intended for an old CD-Rom drive.

Following the cable path as @dilpickle recommended is the most effective approach, in their honest view.

For io it's probably a card reader.
