The i7-10700KF is the 10th generation model. For a motherboard supporting overclocking around 150Hz, look for one with robust BIOS support and good thermal performance.

Yes, it's the 10 700KF model. If you locate any Z490 or Z590 boards for 150 AUD, grab one. Remember to purchase a GPU since the 10700KF lacks built-in video support.

For clarity, items ending with "F" lack an iGPU—consider skipping them if you want to skip the GPU purchase during this chaotic time. The "K" indicates overclock capability; if you won’t overclock, you can often reduce costs on both CPU and board. Chipsets with "Z" are solely for overclocking, so opt for "B" or "H" for a more budget-friendly option.

I'm unsure if this price will provide quality motherboards for overclocking. If you're fortunate, you might find a basic Z series board. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/products/mot...ice&page=1 In reality, overclocking modern Intel chips isn't very effective—they rarely exceed stock speeds. A B560 board with a non-K CPU could save around $100.
