I've been experimenting with boosting my GTX 1070 Strix and wanted to know its typical maximum clock speed without changing the voltage. I also asked about an appropriate memory clock for a standard model. Additionally, it's the original Strix release, not the overclocked variant.
I adjusted my 1070 asus strix by 125 on the core and 217 (434mhz with msi afterburner) without raising the voltage, and it performed well during games without crashing. I believe I set it to 300 mem for benchmarks but 217 was more consistent. Also, if you boost to 112% power, you can achieve 200mhz over stock clock and 400 mem (800mhz effective), which runs smoothly for gaming though it gets warmer.
