I opened Chrome, picked something from my browsing history, and each time I clicked it, the browser would reset to the page where my history was stored. I didn't understand why this was happening. I tried setting Chrome to open only a specific page at startup instead of continuing from where I left off, checked if any extensions were affecting the history, and ran a virus scan through Windows Security, but nothing resolved the issue. If anyone could assist, it would be very helpful.

Open Chrome in its isolated safe mode (browser only)
Type the following into the Windows Run box...
chrome --incognito
Check if the problem persists.

It seems there could be an issue with Chrome’s history or session. Clearing your cache and cookies might resolve the problem. If that doesn’t work, reset your Chrome settings or reinstall it to fix any corrupt files. For persistent issues, check for updates or consider a full Windows reinstall if necessary.
