What can I do to stop my PC from thinking I'm holding down keyboard keys for too long?
Hey there. I've been holding back from sharing this for quite some time, hoping to try to resolve it myself or elsewhere, but after about six months of it being a big deal, I'm starting to feel exhausted.
In the video I shared on imgur, you can see my approach. I keep pressing wdsa in that sequence, never letting one button stay down much longer than the others. But as you watch, you'll see me hit the wall or follow a straight line unpredictably. This is what's happening. My PC seems to think I'm holding one key for a longer time than it actually is. It's especially noticeable when playing games with K&M, though I sometimes catch it in my browser too—just less often than in-game. If I'm playing a random game, this can happen many times within a single round (up to 30 minutes). It usually costs me the game because I can't move as smoothly as I'd like.
This is the full list of my parts. I use one USB hub for a few extra devices, but my keyboard isn't connected there—it's plugged straight into it. My keyboard is a Razer Huntsman Elite. The mouse is a Razer DeathAdder Elite. For audio, I use the Razer Seiren X as my mic and the Razer Kiyo as my webcam. I also have a couple of pebbles for speakers, unless I'm using my Razer Kraken Ultimate headset.
I've tried various fixes to see if they'll help. I've uninstalled Razer Synapse, reinstalled it, turned off unnecessary background processes, used the CPU limiter in Opera, unplugged other peripherals, and even freed up more space on my OS drive (now over 500 GB free). I also reinstalled the keyboard driver.
Apart from that, I have no idea how to fix this problem. The only other idea I've tried is reinstalling Windows, but that's a big task, and I don't remember where my activation key is. If anyone has any tips or knows what's going on, I'd really appreciate it.

P.S. This might be connected to another issue, but I'm not sure. I notice my PC gets stuck sometimes while playing K&M and typing—sometimes it freezes for a second frame, then I get stuck and type the keys it releases when it unsticks.
Adjust the controls in Control Panel > Keyboard.
Test changing the Repeat "delay" and "rate" settings to see if it improves the problem.
Also, note that some third-party keyboard control software includes unusual "gaming" features that might affect key repetition behavior.
Ensure none of these options are active unless necessary.
If they aren't enabled by default, consider activating any that could help.
This should typically not be linked to peripheral device issues.
The issue is more likely related to a system freeze, which may resolve once the freeze ends and queued input commands can be resumed.
