I find it a bit unusual to ask, but I’m eager to start in IT and need a computer that can host a few virtual machines while I watch classes. I purchased this ZenBook
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6501009...Id=6501009
It seems to perform well, but I noticed another model that’s more powerful and has a better graphics card. I’m not sure if the improved GPU would be beneficial with the weaker CPU.
I also want to avoid limiting myself to just 16GB of RAM since I plan to run demanding tasks and play RuneScape on a separate monitor. Another choice could be a different device—something like a ThinkPad or Yoga in the same price range, or Best Buy has several great gaming laptops that support upgrading to 32GB of RAM.
Overall, the first ASUS model I mentioned has a solid CPU, but I’m not convinced about sticking with it right now.
My budget is roughly between $150 and $1600 if anyone has suggestions. I saw a 16” model on sale for $1500, but its CPU doesn’t seem to match what I have.
Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
The system's guidelines for the game usually indicate that your current laptop is more than suitable for running it;
RuneScape ® on Steam
RuneScape is a high fantasy open world MMORPG. Discover a constantly changing and developing living world where fresh challenges, abilities, and quests are available. With unmatched player freedom, you decide how to play, explore, and progress.
store.steampowered.com
If you wish to upgrade your laptop with a more advanced model, I recommend the one you linked above.

Thank you for the friendly greeting! I'm planning to use it across all my cybersecurity courses and will run two virtual machines in addition to watching videos. I prefer Mac devices and want to ensure I have the best setup possible within my budget. I also came across information suggesting that cracking passwords requires a powerful GPU, but I'm unsure how often I'll need such resources for my work.

Could I provide a summary of the planned curriculum for the Cyber Security courses?
