Occasionally the sound comes from the computer itself. When using the old analog plug-in instead of USB, there are analog parts on the motherboard and the wiring that can capture noise. I recommend switching to a USB speaker.

EDIT: I didn't realize some headphones and speakers with USB simply transmit analog signals, particularly those with an "adapter" for use.

So yes, the sound is coming from the line out on the PC. I have a box of those filters I shared on Amazon that I occasionally use. I just repurpose them from discarded items in the trash.

You might check the mobo's green output jack for similar noises by connecting it to another device, such as a headset or earphone. Would you still detect those unclear sounds this way?
