About a month ago, I received some helpful guidance in this discussion about removing CCleaner, and moving forward with registry cleaners. It convinced me this tool was no longer necessary and posed too great a risk to my system. During my recent Windows 11 setup, I follow a strict rule: only Revo Uninstaller is allowed for registry cleaning, using its built-in tool for uninstalled programs and their residual entries. However, I recently discovered that BitDefender's Total Security includes a registry cleaner within its Optimizer Tool (which also handles other system files). I’ve left it unchecked so far just to be cautious. I’d like to know what others think about this approach and whether it’s safe enough for future use.

It's not essential. The contribution is minimal and offers little value. I suggest against it.

I've been using CCleaner on several machines, often running the reg cleaner weekly or more, especially on one old machine that's been around for nearly 15 years. Thousands of cleans have been done, and all my machines are still running smoothly without any issues. I believe the real problems come from Microsoft and their lack of competence. I think I'm just lucky. Although I don't have proof, I think a clean after initial setup is beneficial for Windows. If you let it build up too much before use, you might run into trouble. Reg Cleaners doesn't harm your machine.

Sorry, but many people have systems that are already well-functioning without these tools. These applications are usually not essential and may even lead to complications.
