If you're interested in ancient greece, there is also a "sightseeing and history" mode you can play and let a narrator explain every bit of history to you. Altough i never really used it, i think it's an excellent addition to the game.

It's easy to jump back into Kassandra or Alexios—just navigate the Animus.

Absolutely, I noticed that too! I didn’t do it just yet since I wanted to learn naturally, and I think I already understand everything they’d expect from someone in that time.

Eventually you didn’t get the chance. Like when discovering and investigating the entrance to Atlantis.

Yeah, actually that section wasn't essential. It seems like it was intended as a prelude to explore the Atlantis DLC. They had to guide you there somehow.

Some spots were nearly stunning during the gameplay... I ran it with a 3700X and an overclocked 1080Ti on a 1440p, 144Hz display, which made for a solid experience (mostly using Ultra settings, though the volumetric clouds were noticeable). Now I'm holding off until my RTX 3080 TUF arrives, ready to dive back in. There might be some unfinished content in the DLCs, so I'll compare performance with a 3080. Eventually, I'd upgrade my decent 1080Ti, but honestly, even with a 1060 it's a tough game to run. Most folks still stick with 1050Tis and 1060s, according to Steam Hardware data.

Have you completed the main game yet? Also about the Cults and Orders? I finished the game then tackled those parts. Ironically, my spear was only level 5 when I beat the game, even though 6 is the maximum. In my opinion: $60 for over 200 hours of fun is definitely worth it. That’s under $0.30 per hour! I’m happy about getting the best ending. P.S. I planned to upgrade to a 3080, but with all the supply issues and the price, I think a 2080 Ti will suffice until the 4000s series arrives whenever that happens.

Yeah, I finished the main game, and finished the Atlantis DLC, but haven't gotten around to do the second one - I'll leave that for the new card I agree that some things aren't too straightforward in this game, I skipped a few recent AC releases and had some figuring out to do in this one. For instance I only discovered that I can do "Travel Speed" with my ship halfway through the main story and was wasting time moving slow before that... As for the Cultists, I admit I needed google's help to find some of them, though I was caught by surprise by the character that turned out to be the "head" of the Cult! I bought the base game for around 10$ on Epic Games store some time ago, and then managed to get both DLCs for around the same price, so it was 20$ for me in total For a 1080Ti, a 3080 is finally a decent upgrade (unlike the 20 series), but for a 2080Ti it's not IMO, unless you're heavily gaming at 4K perhaps. At 1080p you'd see around 10% difference with a 3080, and even 10% may be too much because you'd be extremely CPU bound. Stick to the 2080Ti, it's still a great card despite what Nvidia may want you to think Even my 1080Ti would still suffice for me for 1440p - It's still a very fast GPU, and I'll actually lose 1GB of VRAM with the 3080, which is not what I expected considering I'm skipping one generation with this upgrade... I just got the upgrade itch and had money to burn, you could say, so I jumped and ordered one on launch day. Luckily I chose one of the few good models that don't experience issues...

I also checked Google for some of these items. Particularly the ones near the water because I didn’t want to start attacking every vessel I encountered. For the initial twenty hours, I wasn’t aware that eagle markers existed or could be used as quick travel hubs, which meant I had to revisit them all and unfortunately couldn’t return to Kephalonia where I began. I felt frustrated since those fast travel locations aren’t highlighted anywhere. Did you notice the milestone where you must retrieve the Cyclops’ eye by defeating goats after a tough sequence? The BOAR presented an extremely challenging obstacle with intense gas effects. Wow, that was one of the toughest battles in the game! I played “Normal” mode, allowing me to progress ~2-3 levels ahead of my usual speed. Recently I discovered that Mercenary Rank 1 isn’t the top rank at all! There’s also a separate “prestige” ranking system. Wow, luck was on your side! I purchased it on sale on Steam for $41.99 (usually it’s $119!) for the “Ultimate” version with all DLC and perks, which I didn’t utilize. I’m only playing at 1440p/144hz, so a 2080 Ti should easily suffice. Still, I appreciate a cinematic experience, so once my 2080 Ti struggles with medium settings in newer titles, I’ll likely upgrade then. I also observed that my 2080 Ti has more VRAM than the 3080, though it uses GDDR6 instead of GDDR6X like the latter.
