What are the optimal settings for the Athlon X4 870K?
Hey everyone. I'm trying to overclock my CPU with a Spartan 3 Pro cooler and AMD Overdrive. When I go above a 46x multiplier, the system crashes and resets. Voltage is set at 1,4750V and the PSU seems sufficient. I can't enable D.O.C.P. in BIOS, but I was able to lower the multiplier from 39x.
Is the 46x model reliable? Are the turbo settings turned off?
Yes, turbo was turned off, but after a longer test run 46 times it wasn't working properly; 45 times it functioned correctly. AMD Overdrive didn't retain its settings once the computer powered down or shut off.
