I just increased my FX 6300 to 4.7ghz +0.180v and it's working fine. It runs smoothly at 30c idle with an average of 37c gaming. The max it ever reached was 45c. Can I go even higher in the 4.8-5.0 range? Are there any precautions or considerations I should keep in mind moving forward?

Thermaltake Core P3 (open air) – warm air rises, no buildup or noise. Surprisingly little dust after three months.
Thermaltake 240 water 3.0 cooler.
FX 6300
Gigabyte 970A DS3P – not the top choice for AM3+ overclocking, but it functions well.

You still have headroom on both voltage and thermals, so I'd give it a go.
