I use the antivirus I have, which is widely recognized as one of the top protection solutions. For some unexplained reason, it consistently avoids installing unnecessary files.

It's disappointing, I don't rely on antivirus software. It's mainly due to tools like McAfee and Norton removing vital files, including DLLs and EXEs from standalone games and other programs!

I rely on Malwarebytes and superantispyware for protection. I also use Comodo’s free antivirus and firewall package occasionally. Comodo offers a solid free security solution as well.
