Hey there! Our Dell machine is nearing the end of its life, so we're looking for a new one. We're considering getting a MacBook Air. I saw some folks using SolidWorks but aren't sure about its performance. Does anyone have any knowledge on running SolidWorks on an M1 chip?

I noticed several screenshots and videos featuring VMware, specifically Windows 10, with a mention of a website that wasn’t familiar to me. Thanks!

It would need setting up a virtual machine, installing the unofficial Windows version for ARM support, and having it mimic x86. This approach would be tricky and probably result in low performance.

When SolidWorks isn’t supported on MacOS, users often rely on Windows or Parallels to run it. I’m unsure if this setup would function smoothly on M1 Macs.
