You're experiencing poor online game performance despite a decent connection speed. The high ping suggests network latency issues. Since you also use ViaSat, consider checking your satellite setup for interference or signal quality. If needed, explore switching to a wired connection or contacting your ISP for further troubleshooting.

Bandwidth and latency don't connect. Latency depends on how far you are from the server and the number of intermediate servers in the path.

I understand, I was supposed to cover a wide range of online games like Apex, Rocket League, Fortnite, and more.

Choose a server near your actual location. Do you have a VPN active?

Where are you connecting from and going to? Which provider handles your internet connection? What type of plan are you on? Could other gadgets on your setup be competing for your download speed?

No problem with the terms and conditions for some games, as I can avoid any bans. If that's the best option available, I should go with it.

From my computer to the router, my ISP is AT&T. We have a 30 Mbps plan. There are four other people in the house besides me, but I’m the only one using the Wi-Fi. I’m not sure if that affects anything.

I'm wondering why a VPN might slow things down. It seems disabling it could have improved performance, but since you're not using one, that's not the issue. Wi-Fi often has poor latency, particularly in crowded areas. You might want to test with a wired connection instead. How does your ping look when you reach out to the router or the ISP's DNS server?

The response time suggests you're using DSL rather than fiber.
