Weird situation
I'm working on repairing my brother's computer. It doesn't function properly at his residence and fails to launch any of his games. The application attempts to start but halts abruptly. No error alerts appear. Most occurrences result in a black screen. I've reinstalled Windows 11 and updated the graphics drivers, but the issue persists. The display driver uninstaller resolves the problem at my place, allowing all his games to load. He suspects Wi-Fi connectivity issues, though the rest of the house remains online. It seems the power supply might be insufficient or faulty. A previous city inspector reported a power-related problem, and they replaced all components. I've asked him to try a different outlet, but he refuses to do so.
@Zerk2012's assessment is accurate. It looks like the issue has been resolved. I've faced a similar scenario before. In my experience, switching to a different PSU that's less affected by power outlet problems helped. One room with two outlets on the same circuit worked fine there. Consider asking your brother to try using an extension cord from another location to test the outcome.
Spend a few bucks on a $10 outlet tester like this:

Also consider picking up a UPS, as they can assist during inconsistent or noisy power situations at your home.
