Your computer had unexpected shutdowns the night before. After some troubleshooting—restricting XMP, adjusting power settings, and using a high-performance plan—it’s now running smoothly. Still, you might want to stay cautious and monitor it closely.

Well, the machine stopped working and kept failing to start last night. I decided to secure the power cord firmly into my PSU, turned off XMP, and changed the power plan to high performance. Now everything is running smoothly. It’s puzzling to me—did I accidentally disable XMP, switch the power plan, or just make sure the cord was tight? My specs are an i7-13700K, Z790 motherboard, 32GB G.Skill DDR5 6400 RAM, RTX 4090, and a 1000W M.2 PSU. Thanks for your help!

Light instability is rare at your location. If not, extract your GPU and test it using igpu. Verify if shutdowns persist. Have you noticed any recent updates? Check for driver changes or a Windows update. Just before shutdowns began, monitor system temperatures via HWinfo64—elevated temps may indicate cooling problems.

No issues with flickering lights, can I still operate the PC without a GPU? Thanks for the update—still using the latest software. I’ll try HWinfo64.
