Weird games
I observed that when I begin playing Rocket League after closing Epic Games, then restarting the game causes noticeable changes—such as increased input lag, stiffness, and altered settings, even though the core Rocket League configuration remains unchanged. The ball also appears to fall more slowly. Have others encountered similar issues? It seems to happen with other games too, including World of Tanks. In Battlefield V, I sometimes felt high latency but noticed no major problems. I’ve experienced the TUF LED on the motherboard flashing multiple times at night, despite turning off power. Although I suspect a CMOS battery issue, it flashes roughly every half hour.
I attempted a clean installation of Windows 10 and Windows 11, using the latest drivers and a fresh RTX 3070 Ti setup. All system checks—driver updates, CPU and memory tests, even a CMOS reset—showed normal operation. The game runs smoothly on my brother’s laptop as well; he reported changes there. I’ve used different network connections (Wi-Fi and Ethernet) and even tried disabling game mode. No clear cause is evident.
My PC specifications are:
- ASUS B660M Plus wifi d4
- Intel i5-12400f
- DDR4 4000MHz Trident Z
- RTX 3070 Ti
- 750W Coolermaster MPE-7501-ACABW
- Kingston 1TB SSD
- Windows 11 24H2 / Windows 10
- Dell G2723H
Additional notes:
- Iris 503 argb V2: Intel stock fan (CPU), 3 front and 1 back.
- Nvidia detected an overclocked GPU clock signal at 1900MHz.
Thank you for reading.
Coolermaster 750W bronz (MPE-7051-ACABW) is a mystery in terms of age. It seems like a "prebuild" setup, but they didn’t allow me to assemble it.
Yes, I can’t even install the wrong BIOS because ASUS EZ Flash blocks it.
I haven’t turned on XMP yet, as I read somewhere it might lead to issues. Still, I won’t enable it since I don’t see any problems and it should boost performance.
I usually do a clean install from a USB without internet. Before installing anything, I reinstall the Windows Media Creation Tool on the USB, download my drivers for another USB, copy them to the hard drive, install them, and disable Windows’ automatic driver downloads. I always reinstall Windows this way every time I start fresh.
I don’t think clicking “Run as ads” is necessary because it’s enabled automatically by default. I believe it’s safe to leave it that way.
I’ll update this in the post so everyone can review the changes.
