Weird FPS-Drops in many games
Here’s a rewritten version of the text, aiming for clarity and conciseness:
“I recently built a PC with specifications including an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, an MSI GTX 1060 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a Seagate FireCuda SSD. Initially, I experienced intermittent freezing issues – approximately 0.5-second freezes during game loading screens and occasionally in gameplay – followed by normal operation. Task Manager revealed spikes in my Ethernet adapter’s usage during these freezes. Disabling the network adapter and unplugging the LAN cable didn't resolve the problem. Restarting Steam-Offline mode also failed. However, a random restart resulted in no freezing for several hours. Shortly after, even with an SSD, I began experiencing similar freezes, now lasting nearly one second. I’m at a loss to understand what’s causing this and need help troubleshooting.”
Well I’ve got something you’re gonna hate to hear, but check ALL YOUR DRIVERS. Every motherboard has a website page with direct downloads to the newest drivers and bios. Flash that bios with the newest one (assuming you know how. Plenty of YouTube videos) and update all them drivers. Start there to eliminate that as an issue.

“I’ve been troubleshooting graphics issues, primarily with driver conflicts. I’ve installed chipset drivers from MSI, along with additional drivers from their website, ensuring my RAM sticks are tested and working correctly. My current Windows installation is fully updated. My motherboard BIOS revision is E7A34AMS.A90 (dated 12/06/2017). I’ve avoided flashing the BIOS due to concerns about potential system instability. Lowering texture settings has temporarily resolved the problem, so I'm hesitant to risk a BIOS update.”
