I used to run Windows 10, but the soundbar was always stuck on my screen and disappeared after restarting the PC. After that, I thought upgrading to Windows 11 would solve the problem, but it didn’t. My current problems are:
- Spotify auto-starts music without letting me skip or change songs.
- The middle mouse click for scrolling stops; the icon just flashes away.
- Opening multiple pages in the taskbar doesn’t work; I have to manually go to Steam to check my friendlist.
Windows Event Viewer shows many error codes 131 and 201.
Restarting fixes things, but if the PC stays off for a long time (I’m not sure), it will happen again probably.
PC specifications:
CPU: I9-12900k
GPU: Asus GeForce ROG-STRIX-RTX3070TI
RAM: Kingston FURY Renegade DDR4 3200 MHz CL16 16GB x 2
Motherboard: Asus PRIME Z690-P D4
Fixes tried:
- Reinstalled Windows twice.
- Scanned for corrupted files (some found and fixed), but it didn’t work.

Your previous message discusses a software problem with Windows, specifically an issue where a soundbar remains stuck on the screen after updates and doesn't allow skipping or playing different tracks. You also mention checking the OS installer and BIOS version.

That could actually be the app. Check if any of these suggestions work for you.

- Doesn't assist when attempting to halt Spotify through task manager.
- Right-click functions correctly, but middle mouse click on the site for scrolling fails; the icon simply blinks off. Mouse changes aren't resolving the issue. I'm using a Logitech G Pro.
- SFC scan repair didn't succeed.
- I plan to try reinstalling Windows via USB next.

some possible answers
i think there should be an updated bios after that time, but the asus site won’t display any drivers for this board. tried on three different browsers. have you checked armoury crate to see if it’s up to date?
