Hello everyone, today I faced a problem that’s hard to fix right now. I’m short on spare parts and just want to double-check my approach. I moved my PC to another city for work, and everything seemed fine at first—games ran smoothly, everything worked perfectly. However, when I tried to relocate it, the system shut down completely except for the GPU lights. After restarting, it came back online, but I noticed something odd during my investigation: it never fully turned back on. In the video I recorded, I reset the CPU, GPU, RAM, and PSU, checked all cables, and everything looked good. When I turned it on after 15 seconds, it powered down again without displaying anything, though the monitor recognized it as a signal but didn’t show an image. The GPU fans spun, but no LED lights appeared, and it didn’t power on properly. It seems to be functioning just fine until it powers off, and I can’t press the power button long enough to shut it down. The GPU-MOBO-CPU-PSU-RAM are covered under warranty, but I’m trying to determine if the issue lies with the GPU or something else—possibly the MOBO. If it’s the GPU, I might send this 3060 TI for repair under warranty and order a replacement like the 4070, explaining the lengthy repair time. Also, I noticed the Arctic logo is upside down, and the fans are positioned incorrectly due to sound pads. Right now I’m frustrated, but I wanted to enjoy all weekend games. Have you considered taking out the CMOS battery, letting it sit for a while, and then reinserting it? When did you purchase or assemble this computer?
unfortunately, that's the aspect I didn't attempt—it's still relatively new, possibly just a year old. I built it then. The problem is I moved today and am working with the tools now. If I can get proper screwdrivers tomorrow at work, I might be able to figure it out. But I'll remove the CMOS battery now or perform a CMOS reset.
Updated: I removed the battery and allowed it to power on by itself. The PC did something unusual; the GPU light turned on and the system restarted slightly, but it worked fine afterward. It seems the main problem is still unresolved. I moved it to stop working, then cleared the CMOS. Now it functions properly. It doesn’t make sense since it had several restarts before turning on, but once it’s on it performs very well. I believe the issue lies with the motherboard, possibly due to a contact problem, though I’m not certain anymore.
It works like before, im fully confused, never seen an issue like this, like the mobo got sick or something, some weird contact issue that im not aware of... tried slapping the pc, opening and slamming the tempered glass to replicate the issue, it still works, magical...
