Are there similar options available? You might find what you need on Steam or GOG. This would help support your child's growing interest in PC gaming without you having to manage all the system requirements yourself. TIA.

Just as official guidelines should be considered carefully, I’d approach any such platform with caution. There are typically numerous tweaks available for a game’s quality, including DLSS and FSR options. Often, you can still enjoy playing even if you’re not at the highest standards, provided you adjust certain settings.

It's what I understand to be the case. Occasionally the servers stop working and the site becomes inaccessible. Also, modifying your PC settings and rerunning the system detection forces you to reinstall the program. Each download is unique; once it’s done, the site stores your configuration. Another point is that the website lists the official game requirements, but usually you can still play smoothly by tweaking settings if your hardware isn’t too close to the minimum specs—such as CPU speed or GPU RAM.

The actual lowest performance needed to test specs isn't found anywhere, as it demands evaluation on a variety of outdated systems. I can attest that my Phenom II 1100T paired with a Quadro K4200 can handle Witcher 3 or Metro Exodus smoothly at medium settings around 60fps, even though it's well under its capabilities. The Phenom struggles with Cyberpunk, and the K4200 falls short in comparison to a modern i7 equivalent build. A weaker GT 740 might still display a slideshow, suggesting the hardware needs a specific instruction set that the 670 version lacks.
