Chrome was my primary browser and I relied on it often. It consumed a lot of CPU and RAM. Switching to Opera GX made it default, but I saw its CPU usage hit 100% in Task Manager. I turned it off in the startup list and disabled background processes, which temporarily fixed the problem. After restarting, Chrome returned to the background. Now Firefox is also behaving similarly—always running quietly. If I remove it, MS Edge might start acting the same way. This could impact my laptop if not managed properly.

It seems another application can launch a browser session, indicating the issue lies elsewhere. Try removing all installed apps and identify the one responsible.
