We must be able to Valve
Counterstrike Global Offensive stands out as one of the top PC FPS titles on Steam, yet it faces significant criticism. While the game offers solid quality, its community often undermines its strengths. The only mode that truly delivers is 5v5 competitive play, but even then, the experience feels compromised by Valve's system design. The "kick" feature lets players ban others through a simple mechanism, yet it struggles when used against pre-formed groups. I think this system should be eliminated entirely. With a built-in reporting option, why not just remove the ability to kick outright? If Valve updated the cooldown process—say, resetting strikes after a short period of inactivity—it would fix many issues. Right now, the current setup lets trolls and greifers easily disrupt gameplay, which is frustrating. I’d suggest implementing stricter rules, like a 3-strike limit that resets automatically after a ban, to ensure fairness and reduce abuse.
The game itself is excellent, yet it's the community that truly diminishes its value. Welcome to every solid multiplayer game ever created.
This isn't the place to rage/rant about Valve's decisions. Steam has its community forums. CS:GO has gone to crap. Many people, myself included, just use it as a cashcow, idling for crates and skins to sell on the market. I'd rather play BLR or, and I can't believe I'm saying this, Battlefield.
Welcome to all games from lobbies onward, without community-run servers with admins and guidelines.
You're right to double-check—there should be no cooldown when your vote is kicked.
