I switched from a Ryzen 3600 to a Ryzen 5800x and received this alert:
A new processor has been detected, which alters how the storage space and firmware TPM data are structured.
If you didn’t enable TPM, press Y to proceed; otherwise, follow these steps:
Press Y to reset the fTPM. If BitLocker or encryption is active, the system won’t boot without a recovery key.
Press N to retain the current fTPM settings and continue booting. The new processor won’t support fTPM, so you can revert back to the old one to recover related keys and data.
I wasn’t aware of BitLocker before, so I assume it wasn’t activated. But when I tried N, I couldn’t log in to my Windows account.
Instead of the password entry box, a message appeared: “hubo un problema y el pin no está disponible,” indicating an issue and that the PIN isn’t enabled.
The main concern is: Should I press Y? If yes, why does it block login without me pressing it? (I’m not sure).
If unsure, please follow these instructions carefully.

Press Y (it might restart several times but should boot).
It should be okay because the ftpm is on the CPU.
Windows Hello, also known as the PIN, is saved on the ftpm.
Taking out the old CPU removed the password. Resetting the ftpm will restore the password and make the PIN work again. I didn’t consider it when I swapped.
I did this about a month ago.
3600xt to 5800x3d (similar MB & same SSD)
